From Buyers: Name, email address, WhatsApp number, order details, and any notes you provide when placing orders or contacting vendors.

From Vendors: Business name, description, category, address, city, WhatsApp number, profile image, operating hours, and account credentials (email, hashed password).

Automatically: Pages visited, search queries, vendor profile views, device type, and browser information to improve platform performance.

We use the information we collect to:

• Facilitate transactions and connect buyers with vendors
• Send order confirmation emails and platform notifications
• Verify vendor identities and business registrations
• Display vendor profiles, products, and reviews publicly
• Analyze platform usage to improve features and performance
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access

When you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not access your Gmail inbox, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google services beyond basic profile identification.

For vendors who authorize Gmail sending on their behalf, we use the gmail.send scope solely to deliver automated order confirmation emails to customers. We do not read, store, or process any messages from your inbox.

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in these cases:

• Vendor-Buyer connections: Buyer order details (name, note) are relayed to vendors via WhatsApp to fulfill orders
• Public vendor profiles: Vendor business name, category, location, and products are publicly visible on the marketplace
• Service providers: We use trusted third-party services (email delivery, hosting) that process data only on our behalf
• Legal requirements: When required by applicable law or to protect the safety of our users

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Vendors may request deletion of their account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Order records may be retained for up to 12 months for dispute resolution purposes.

We implement industry-standard security measures including password hashing, secure session tokens, and encrypted data transmission (HTTPS). However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

We use essential cookies and local storage to maintain your session and preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@zapvendor.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Zapvendor is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered vendors via email of material changes. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
